Puzuri Group of Companies Limited continues to champion agricultural transformation and empowerment as it introduces the Puzuri Outgrower Scheme (POS) in collaboration with the Irrigation Company of Upper Region (ICOUR). Recently, Puzuri engaged with farmers within the ICOUR irrigation scheme to sensitize them about the POS, a pivotal aspect of the impending partnership between Puzuri and ICOUR. The response from the farmers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing keen interest in participating in the scheme.

The POS initiative aims to provide farmers with access to resources, expertise, and market linkages, empowering them to increase their productivity, enhance their livelihoods, and contribute to sustainable agricultural development. By enrolling in the scheme, farmers will receive support in the form of inputs, training, and technical assistance, enabling them to optimize their yields and income levels.

Moreover, the POS emphasizes inclusive growth and community development, aligning with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Through this initiative, Puzuri and ICOUR are committed to fostering agricultural sustainability, reducing poverty, and promoting inclusive economic growth in the Upper East Region and beyond. As the partnership between Puzuri and ICOUR progresses, the POS will play a crucial role in empowering farmers, unlocking their potential, and creating pathways to a brighter, more prosperous future for agricultural communities in Ghana.
